I must admit, the hair and glasses were what enticed me about this image. Everything about the models figure and pose is lovely! But the hair, goodness! It's beautiful, very eye-catching. :)
As a few just below me have said, it's a classic shot and a wonderful one at that. Congrats on the DD, hope to see more of this model and her lovely hair as well!

While I know I'm better off not stating my opinion since anyone who doesn't kiss ass on DDs gets chewed out, I'm going to do it anyway.

I think this picture is great, I love the lighting and the pose is very fun and light. But why does she have to be partially nude? Now if this was just a normal piece of art I'd look the other way but this is a DD and that title should have a bit of class in my opinion. I just never understand why in every batch of DDs there's always a partial nude, fanservice, or some other provocitive piece of art.
Its sad really.

Other than that its good, I really enjoy it. However it just really says a lot about the people who choose to feature these works.

I can already hear the onslaught of angry butthurt people so I'm just going to leave this here and ignore it.

This photo is in no way fanservice or provocative art unless you choose to make it so. Breasts are just overly-sexualized parts of the body, with nothing wrong (or sexual!) about them.

Nudity is art, this is such a simple concept I don't understand why people don't see it. I'm not trying to chew you out or be some "angry butthurt" guy in saying that, it's just an honest truth that I think people should understand.
If this art is good, why does the partial nudity in any way detract from it? It's part of the piece. It's a very important part.
Nudity isn't "fanservice", and even if it was fanservice is also art. Anything can be art! You just have to keep an open mind to it. :)
The only sad thing is people who come on simply to shame artists for daring to give an alternate look at art by portraying nudity as art. I mean, nudity has been a part of art for a very, very long time. Getting upset at it now sure isn't going to change that!
I assure you, I in no way mean to be rude or even tell you how to feel, I just hope you could open your mind a bit to the idea that nudity is art, and Daily Deviations will portray that. There's so much variety in the Daily Deviations, every single day! I'm glad nudity and partial nudity in fetish art and glamour portraits can be a part of that.

I know that Nudity is art, obviously, or I don't quite think I would even be able to call myself an artist. I just don't see why the art has to be put in a place where other users can see it. Such as the younger groups. And seeing as how this doesn't have a mature content filter also bothers me.
I know children are going to break the rules and look at what they shouldn't but I actually like to preserve the moral standard.

I'm not trying to detract from it, I'm just saying that it could be just as nice if she wasn't partially nude. Honestly I think the DD section should be reserved for art that actually takes time and hard work, not something as simple as this. Which is also my main beef with partial nude work in the DD section. I'm not saying that this doesn't deserve it, because it is a good work but all it is is a simple shutter-click, lighting and after-effects. Anyone can be a photographer, but it takes real skill to make something amazing.
When I see simple things in the DD section it's a bit offensive, I can think of plenty of other artists that deserve to be in a spot like this, where they spend hours, days, and weeks on their art and never get any kind of recognition. Or maybe they do, but they never get this kind of recognition.
Again, I'm not trying to take away from the fact that this Deviation is indeed good, but if maybe it was something more than a plain background, a little something else.
It just doesn't have what I consider to be the it factor. And you are more than welcome to disagree with me, I'm not trying to convince you either way. I'm just trying to say that while you're telling me to have an open mind, you yourself are not following your own advice.
Take a step back and try to look at this through the eyes of someone else. Maybe a mother who is on Deviantart and her small child comes to see what she's doing, the child might see it and be influenced, thinking that it's okay to go around topless. Now i'm not saying this is the case, and this situation is entirely hypothetical and in no way do I actually see it being that big of a deal but you just never know. There are endless possibilities and I don't really think we need any more provocative art in the DD section. It's just demeaning and upsetting.

Also calling someone sad because they apparently "come on simply to shame artists for daring to give an alternate look at art by portraying nudity as art." is rude. I'm not here to shame anyone. I'm just stating my opinion. I like this picture and never said anything negative about it.

"I agree that nudity is art, I just don't want it to be viewed on an art site," is basically what you're saying. Guess we should stop taking our kids to art museums, they might catch eye of a nude sculpture!
There's nothing here that would be offensive on a moral point, which is what get covers by a mature filter. At the very least, it's mildly sexual. Who cares? Do remember, your moral standards won't align with everyone's. I believe kids should be welcome to see nudity, especially as art, because I don't see anything inherently sexual or gross about the human body. DeviantArt believes once it shows privates or nipples, it should be at least covered with a mature filter. Rules be rules, partial nudity isn't really covered by the mature filter unless you want it to be on your own personal work.
As life would have it, opinions vary from person to person. The person who featured this piece clearly saw some you didn't, and they featured it. Have a problem? Think someone else isn't getting recognized? Submit! Submit work you find to DD volunteers to feature! It's a much better use of them than saying things in these silly old comment sections. :)
I think that Daily Deviation is not an aware, or reserved for anyone. I think it's a place for any art, hard-work and effort or first feeble attempts, it's a place for all art to get recognition. Some art takes lifetimes, others take days, some take minutes. Does that make them any less art? Does that make them not as "worthy" as something that took years? That's silly, there's more to art than effort or what you see at first glance.
Actually, sense your asking me to look through the eyes of a mother, you're really asking me to look through the eyes of an open minded mother. If my daughter (sense sons are allowed to walk around topless), saw this and was inspired to go around topless I'd have no qualms. Her decision, I'm happy that she was inspired by art!
You are saying negative things about it. You're saying it's wrong to be nude and it doesn't deserve a Daily Deviation and that, my friend, is negative. I wasn't referring to you personal with that remark, but rather all the people who cry "This doesn't DESERVE a Daily Deviation!" to anything even barely featuring nudity. It's pathetic, it's rude, and by Gods just SUBMIT art to Daily Deviation instead of crying about how someone else (Who's work you claimed to like!) is getting recognition. Yes, I am tired of hearing this. Seriously, anything (good or bad!) can get a DailyDeviation and there is nothing wrong with that. It's not a dog treat, if you think it is submit something instead of taking that treat from the dog and saying "You don't deserve this!"

Your never alone. There's always someone who feels the same, wether some people like it or not. But I believe we're all entitled to our opinions, so don't criticize someone for sharing their own.

While you make a decent point, historically, since the first cave paintings were created, the naked female body has been idolized. It goes along the premise that the human body is beautiful, and there shouldn't be shame in displaying it.

yeah, but I don't see how you're able to respect yourself when you show everything to everyone. I mean, after that, everyone knows what you look like. imagine, perverts and rapists can see you like that.

The way I see it is if you're confident enough in your own body to display it, go for it. If perverts and rapists can see it, oh well. So long as they aren't physically stalking or attacking you, I see no problem with it.

Technically anything you put online can and probably will be jerked to.

Actually, if you think about it, models are probably the most self conscious group of people. I mean, their livelyhood depends on how they look.
